GET TO KNOW ROBB TUCKER
Robb is about as local as local gets. His birth certificate literally states he was born in a “Residence-Highway 49, South; next to Golden Chain Motel.” His parents moved to Nevada County in the early 1970’s when his family was developing Forest Springs Mobilehome Community. His parents chose to stay and raise their family here, meaning his dad had to commute to the Bay Area for 30 years as a United Airlines pilot based at San Francisco International Airport! Robb’s family always placed a high value on service to the country and community. His grandfather and dad were both retired USAF pilots who flew in WWII, Korea, and Vietnam, and his mom was elected to the Pleasant Ridge Unified School board from 1989-2002. One of Robb’s earliest childhood memories was marching in the 1976 Bicentennial Fourth of July Parade in Downtown Nevada City and he was so proud when his grandfather shook hands with President Ronald Reagan in 1984.
Robb attended local primary schools, including Tall Pines preschool, Pleasant Ridge Elementary, and Magnolia Intermediate School. He was part of the first graduating class to attend all four years at the newly opened Bear River High School, and in 2011 was inducted into the inaugural class of the BRHS Athletic Hall of Fame. Tucker holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Pepperdine University and a master’s degree from Wheaton College Graduate School. He lives on acreage in South Nevada County with his wife Kristy and three teenage children, Samara, Sela and Ethan. He is very involved in local schools and church and has coached youth and prep sports for many years. He also possesses a FAA Commercial Pilot License with a multi-engine, instrument rating, carrying on a family tradition of aviation.
Tucker served as President/CEO of a closely held family business, which owned Forest Springs Mobilehome Community, until selling the business in 2020.
In 2024, Robb was elected to serve on the Nevada County Board of Supervisors. There, he has been a strong voice for public safety, protecting small businesses, and defending local quality of life.
