Protecting Our Constitutional Rights
In California, we have seen a relentless push to restrict the rights of law-abiding citizens without any sort of corresponding reduction in violent crime. We can’t keep punishing those who safely and responsibly exercise their right to gun ownership.
I will strongly oppose any attempt to dilute your second amendment rights. I will also be a champion of policies that counter the harmful approach California has taken—including national concealed carry reciprocity. To address gun violence, our focus must remain on enforcing the laws we have against violent criminals rather than creating new hurdles for hunters, sportsmen, and families looking to protect themselves.
Securing Our Borders
A nation that cannot secure its borders cannot protect its citizens. I am a strong supporter of border security and believe we are safer thanks to the historic new investments we are seeing at the Southern Border. I will support continuing to fund the completion of the border wall and the utilization of modern technology to stop illegal crossings.
Despite the progress of the last year, the issue of illegal immigration continues to fester thanks to the sanctuary policies of Governor Gavin Newsom. Sanctuary policies have made our communities less safe by preventing immigration enforcement officers from apprehending potential deportees in the criminal justice system. I support ending federal funding for sanctuary jurisdictions that refuse to cooperate with immigration enforcement and taking a hardline approach at the federal level to ensure that our ICE and CBP officers can do their job and get dangerous illegal immigrants off our streets.
Restoring Fiscal Sanity
As a businessman who spent years managing a family-run business, I have seen firsthand how excessive regulations, taxation, and red tape stifle growth. I understand the frustration of trying to grow a business while navigating a bureaucracy that seems to view the private sector as an adversary. In Washington, I will fight to roll back the taxes and regulations that hold our local economy back.
Federal fiscal policy doesn’t just impact businesses. Overspending and our ever-increasing national debt is a generational threat that fuels inflation and weakens the long-term security of our country. I will strongly support efforts to cut wasteful and fraudulent spending in the federal government, scale back the federal bureaucracy across the board, and I will support a balanced budget amendment to permanently create guardrails to ensure fiscal sanity.
Wildfire Resilience
Decades of poor forest management have left communities across Northern California vulnerable. We need active, common-sense forest management that includes thinning and the removal of hazardous dead timber. I will work to streamline the regulatory processes that currently stall vital safety projects. I will ensure that federal forest lands are actively maintained, in partnership with the timber industry.
Standing Up to Sacramento Politicians
Gavin Newsom has presided over a period of dramatic decline in California, marked by failures on every possible issue, ranging from homelessness to economic growth, to crime, and to wildfire response. With Newsom setting his sights on a foolish run for president, now is the time for leaders across the state to articulate a new vision for California’s future. I will stand up to Sacramento overreach and defend the right of our communities to determine their own fate. I will be a loud voice highlighting the failures of Newsom and his cronies in the State Capitol. I will do whatever I can to make sure that future leaders are held accountable should they choose to follow the failed path of Gavin Newsom.
